Fall Fashion Must Haves: Annual Favorites

I don't consider myself trendy or fashionable but I love fashion. Here are the top items that will be on heavy rotation in my wardrobe this fall.

Fall 2011: My Top 10 Must Haves

Some possible outfit combos include:

Outfit 1: Black turtleneck, black/white tweed shorts, black leggings, leather jacket, sport shoes, hat, infinity scarf

Outfit 2: Black turtleneck, drapy tank dress, black leggings, cord blazer, leather knee boots, hat, infinity scarf

Outfit 3: Black turtleneck, black/white tweed shorts, black leggings, cord blazer, leather knee boots, hat, infinity scarf

Outfit 4: Black turtleneck, drapy tank dress, black leggings, leather jacket, leather knee boots, hat, infinity scarf

Outfit 5: Black turtleneck, drapy tank dress, black leggings, leather knee boots, hat, chunky knit infinity scarf as shrug, thin scarf

Tips: On Freezing fall (or winter) days layer a fitted, long sleeve cold weather top under the turtleneck. Choose something like Warm Essentials by Cuddl Duds, which is available at Target. I have one and it is amazing. It doesn't add any bulk and it's so streamlined that it works perfectly under a fitted turtleneck.

Also, choose a pair of Cuddl Duds thermals as your fall and winter legging of choice. I have a pair of these too and they have kept me super warm when I wear them under skinny jeans. Also, wear them over a pair of thick tights and you can wear dresses all winter! You should take them off when you get to your destination if you will be in doors for many hours. Then put them back on before you leave.

Finally, use a chunky knit infinity scarf as a shrug and close it in front with a brooch to keep the front of you warm. Then, layer on a thinner scarf of a smooth texture maybe with a little fringe to off-set the bulky knit and still stay nice and warm.
