Celebrity Fashion Influence
Halle Berry's personal style seems to have evolved in an interesting way over the last year or so. I first took notice of her sort of dark, edgy new look in People Style Watch magazine, one of my favorite monthly reads.
Ms. Berry's style has gone from carefree, relaxed fitting everyday clothes with a light color palette and colorful red carpet looks to dark, mostly black and greyscale sleek, fitted street clothes and red carpet ensembles.
I'm really liking her new edgy look that seems to be all about the glam goth influence. I like the way she pairs fitted pants with structured blazers and leggings with a drapy tunic, tee, fitted long top or chunky sweater. Check out one of her great outfits on page 34 of the October issue of People Style Watch and pretty much each month she is featured in the magazine with an edgy glam outfit.
In honor of Halle's sleek style, I've put together a few outfit ideas below, enjoy!

Fashion: Minimal, Chic College Wardrobe
I'll keep this short and sweet. Here are the absolute must-haves to look chic and have a light load college wardrobe. First, I highlighted the clothes, then I put together the shoes and accessories. These are just according to my own taste but by all means change out items to fit your personal style.
In my opinion everyone needs: sweaters, basic tees and turtlenecks, jean shirt, crisp white blouse, black skirt, black slacks, black blazer and a nice every day blazer. As for footwear and accessories: black leather knee boots, "sport" shoes, dress shoes, cozy hats and drapy scarves, carry-all and smaller bag, leggings and tights, statement stretch belt and drapy multi chain necklace.
I selected items that had clean lines and basic styles because that's what I prefer. I stuck with a neutral color palate and added pops of my fave colors.
Enjoy! :-)
Packing it all will be discussed in my June 1 post titled Decorating/Organizing: Travel Edition—The Perfectly Organizated Carry-On.
